About the job

About this role:

Nova Sky Stories is seeking a leader for our Global Marquee Entertainment business, encompassing some of Nova’s most significant, high-profile, and globally visible work across landmark events, major cultural and sporting moments, and premium IP-driven entertainment.

This leader will have full ownership of the business, including P&L accountability, strategy, revenue growth, profitability, customer relationships, and new business development. They will define where Nova competes, build a global pipeline of high-value opportunities, develop relationships with the organizations and partners behind the world’s most important moments and entertainment properties, and establish the commercial model required to scale the business.

As a senior leader at Nova, this person will work across the organization to bring high-value Marquee opportunities from concept through commercial execution and delivery. They will partner closely with Creative, Operations & Delivery, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Engineering, and other business unit leaders to align priorities, deploy resources effectively, and ensure Nova delivers against both its creative ambition and commercial objectives.

This is a highly entrepreneurial leadership role for someone who can operate at both the strategic and hands-on level, opening doors, shaping opportunities, making sound commercial decisions, and building Global Marquee Entertainment into a distinctive and sustainable business.

As the EVP, Marquee Entertinment, you’ll be responsible for:

Business & Commercial Leadership

  • Own the Marquee P&L, business plan, revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and overall performance.
  • Define the strategy and commercial priorities for the business and ensure resources are focused against the highest-value opportunities.
  • Identify new markets, offerings, partnerships, and business models that expand the Marquee portfolio.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on commercial potential, strategic value, delivery complexity, capacity, and risk.
  • Build Marquee into a scalable, sustainable global business.

Growth & Customer Relationships

  • Drive new business development and customer acquisition across the Marquee portfolio.
  • Build a strong global pipeline across landmark events, cultural and sporting moments, and premium IP-driven experiences.
  • Own and grow senior relationships with customers and partners within the Marquee portfolio.
  • Build relationships with brands, entertainment companies, IP owners, rights holders, event organizations, governments, agencies, producers, and other relevant partners.
  • Grow relationships beyond individual projects into repeat, multi-year, and broader commercial opportunities.
  • Lead major opportunities from initial engagement through commercial negotiation and award.

Cross-Functional & Business Unit Collaboration

  • Partner with Creative, Operations and Delivery, Engineering, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, and other functions to bring Marquee opportunities to life.
  • Ensure commercial commitments align with Nova’s creative ambition, operational capabilities, financial objectives, and risk profile.
  • Collaborate with other business unit leaders to align priorities and identify opportunities that span multiple areas of Nova.
  • Ensure clear customer ownership and a coordinated approach when relationships or opportunities cross business units.
  • Use customer and market insights to influence Nova’s offerings, investments, and broader business strategy.

Leadership & Organization

  • Serve as the business leader and internal owner of Marquee business unit.
  • Establish clear goals and accountability across revenue, profitability, pipeline, customer relationships, and growth.
  • Build the operating model and organizational capabilities required to scale the business globally.
  • Determine where dedicated Marquee resources are needed and where shared functions can best support the business.
  • Represent Nova with senior customers, partners, rights holders, and industry leaders around the world.

You’ll need to have:

  • 20+ years of overall experience with at least 15+ years of leadership experience across live entertainment, experiential, major events, sports, media, entertainment, intellectual property, production, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience building or leading a business, business unit, commercial organization, or significant customer portfolio.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and developing complex, high-value commercial opportunities.
  • Experience owning a P&L, significant revenue target, or comparable financial accountability.
  • Proven success developing, negotiating, and closing major commercial partnerships.
  • Ability to build senior relationships across brands, entertainment companies, rights holders, event organizations, agencies, governments, and other relevant partners.
  • Strong commercial and financial judgment across business planning, forecasting, pricing, and investment decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead across creative, operational, technical, financial, and legal teams in a shared or matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working across international markets and willingness to travel globally.

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience with globally recognized sporting events, cultural moments, live experiences, or other high-profile productions.
  • Experience developing experiences around major intellectual property and working with IP owners or rights holders.
  • Experience building repeatable or multi-market opportunities from individual events or IP.
  • Established relationships across global entertainment, sports, events, brands, or related industries.
  • Experience scaling a business within a founder-led or rapidly growing organization.
  • Familiarity with drones, aviation, robotics, or technology-enabled entertainment.
